The HR Generalist supports the full employee life cycle and serves as a key member of the HR & People Operations team. This role coordinates talent acquisition, pre-hire activities, onboarding, and New Hire Orientation, benefits administration support, offboarding preparation, employee records and updates, and other HR operational needs. The HR Generalist partners with employees, hiring managers, HR team members, and benefit vendors to deliver accurate, timely, and consistent employee experiences.
Coordinates talent acquisition and pre-hire activities, including job postings, hiring-manager communication, offer letters, and pre-employment workflows
Owns and coordinates onboarding and New Hire Orientation activities, ensuring new employees receive timely communication, required resources, system access support, and a consistent introduction to the organization
Supports benefits administration, employee changes, offboarding preparation, employee inquiries, and other HR duties and special projects as needed
Requirements
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
3+ years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience supporting multiple areas of the employee life cycle
Experience with talent acquisition, onboarding/New Hire Orientation, benefits administration, and employee offboarding processes
Experience using an HRIS; Paylocity experience is a plus
Working knowledge of HR practices, employment policies, and the importance of consistent documentation and confidentiality
Critical attention to detail, especially for written communication, employee records, and system data
Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities
Committed to meeting deadlines while remaining flexible and able to pivot when priorities change
Ability to exercise sound judgment, follow guidance and approval processes, and escalate matters appropriately
Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with employees and all levels of management
Commitment to excellence, the employment brand, continuous learning, and HR best practices
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of broad HR Generalist experience preferred; PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is a plus
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Work Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as some walking.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
