FULL TIME | GREATER SEATTLE AREA

Opportunity

Skanska USA Civil is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Project Management Team in Seattle, supporting the planning and execution of construction projects.

The Project Engineer will work within the Project Management Team, which is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to achieve timely and cost-effective outcomes. Responsibilities may vary based on the size and complexity of each project and include supporting budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling.

The role also helps ensure projects are constructed in a safe and ethical manner and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

What You’ll Do (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)

Project Planning & Management

  • Support the Project Management Team in planning and overseeing projects
  • Assist with project budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling
  • Help ensure projects achieve timely and cost-effective outcomes

Project Execution

  • Support the implementation and execution of project plans
  • Work within project teams to help coordinate project activities
  • Responsibilities may vary depending on the size and complexity of the project

Safety & Compliance

  • Help ensure projects are constructed in a safe and ethical manner
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Contribute to Skanska's commitment to safety and responsible construction

Scheduling & Prioritization

  • Support work scheduling and prioritization
  • Assist with process execution within the assigned discipline
  • Help coordinate activities based on project requirements and priorities

Project Team Collaboration

  • Work as part of the Project Management Team
  • Coordinate with team members based on project size, complexity, and responsibilities
  • Apply technical and operational knowledge within the assigned discipline

What You Bring (Qualifications & Education)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Engineering preferred
  • Equivalent experience may be considered

Experience

  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Broad knowledge of technical or operational practices within the assigned discipline

Skills

  • Understanding of basic management approaches
  • Work scheduling and prioritization
  • Coaching and process execution
  • Technical and operational knowledge within the assigned discipline
  • Project organization and implementation
  • Ability to work effectively within a project management environment
  • Strong focus on safe and ethical project execution
