What You'll DoCNC Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision components
- Run CNC programs while ensuring parts meet required tolerances and specifications
- Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic production equipment
- Gather and prepare tooling, fixtures, and materials needed for production
- Monitor machine performance and production quality throughout the manufacturing process
Production & Quality Control
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality
- Verify finished products meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Document production and inspection activities as required
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs when appropriate
- Identify and report machine malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety hazards
- Help minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and problem-solving
Team Collaboration & Safety
- Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support additional production activities as needed
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience
- Previous experience operating 5-axis CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including:
- Micrometers
- Dial Indicators
- Height Gauges
- Pin Gauges
- Comparators
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform basic trigonometry and geometric calculations
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent attendance and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC programming experience
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Experience with CMS machines and controls
- Experience machining composite materials such as:
- Carbon Fiber
- Fiberglass
- Kevlar
- Advanced computer skills
- Experience in tooling, mold-making, or precision machining environments
