Job Summary:
The Rental Coordinator - Power Systems serves as the primary point of contact for customers, sales personnel, technicians, and internal departments regarding power generation and power solutions equipment rentals. This role is responsible for coordinating rental activities, managing reservations, assessing customer power requirements, and supporting the Power Systems rental fleet. The ideal candidate combines exceptional customer service, technical aptitude, and strong organizational skills to deliver reliable power solutions for a variety of applications, including construction, industrial, healthcare, data center, emergency backup, and temporary power needs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate rental reservations, equipment availability, delivery schedules, and customer support activities.
- Assess customer power requirements and recommend appropriate rental solutions based on application, load demands, and site conditions.
- Provide exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with Sales, Service, Operations, Dispatch, and customers to ensure seamless rental execution.
- Explain rental terms, equipment capabilities, and company policies, including applicable damage waiver programs.
- Support customers by providing information on generator sizing, power specifications, fuel requirements, and equipment applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting basic equipment issues and coordinate service support when necessary.
- Maintain accurate rental records, contracts, and customer information within company systems.
- Support branch goals through efficient rental fleet utilization and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years’ experience in customer service; preferred experience in the heavy equipment and/or equipment rental industry.
- Excellent computer skills – MS Office proficiency required.
- Must understand and be able to effectively explain the company’s LDW policy.
- Must understand and be able to effectively communicate equipment applications and key performance specifications.
- Understands usage and applications of all rental equipment and services offered.
- Must have thorough knowledge of “common” equipment failure problems and how to resolve them.
- Must recognize the difference between similar products and the advantages/disadvantages of applications.
- Must have working knowledge of construction phases to properly advise applications.

Physical Requirements:
