Job description
Looking for local truck driving jobs? J.B. Hunt is hiring intermodal truck drivers! Drive with J.B. Hunt Intermodal and enjoy express access railyard gates, onsite maintenance and 100% company owned equipment.
This position is paid an hourly rate for all hours worked plus an activity-based bonus payment. The activity-based bonus payment is the sum of your eligible activity pay less your base hourly earnings for the week.
Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $83,000.
- Hourly rate: $18 per hour
- Holiday pay per day: $230 per day
- $5,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time
Automatically Applied Eligible Activities:
- Cent per mile rate: $0.59
- Detention pay: $22-$28 per hour
- Drop and hook pay: $45 per stop
- Live load/unload pay: $62 per stop
- Hazmat loads: $30 per load
- Refrigerated loads: $35 per load
- Daily tenure rate: $3-$36 per day after one year of service
- Office work: $315 per day
- San Diego Pay: $20 per stop
- Vendor drop: $20 per drop
- New hire training pay: $22 per hour

- Crosstown moves: $20-$45 per move or $22 per hour
- Compliance: $22 per hour
- Dwell moves: $20 per move
- Empty moves: $20 per move or $22 per hour

- Mandatory meetings: $28 per hour
- Mechanical breakdown pay: $22 per hour

- Refused delivery: $45 per occurrence
- Truck order not used: $20 per occurrence
- Waiting on dispatch: $22 per hour
- Waiting on power unit: $22 per hour
- Yard work: $22 per hour
