Apex Placement & Consulting has partnered with an exciting print manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator to join their team in Taylor, MI. In this role, you will support high-quality digital print production. The ideal candidate is computer savvy, detail oriented, mechanically inclined and interested in learning commercial print production. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:- Day Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Essential Responsibilities:• Operate the HP Indigo 120K digital press.• Review job tickets and verify production requirements.• Load paper, prepare materials, and support daily press setup.• Monitor print quality throughout production runs.• Perform routine press maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.• Assist with hands-on part replacement and operator-level maintenance.• Use production software and computer systems to manage jobs and workflow.• Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or equipment problems to supervisors.• Maintain accurate production records and job documentation.• Keep the digital press area clean, organized, and safe.• Work with prepress, bindery, and production teams to keep jobs moving efficiently.• Learn and follow company quality standards, safety procedures, and production processes. Qualifications:• Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software systems.• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on maintenance and part replacement.• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.• Good communication and problem-solving skills.• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle production materials as needed.• Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, machine operation, or equipment maintenance is a plus but not required.• Experience with HP Indigo or other digital presses is a plus but not required.
