Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist II to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC machining centers to produce precision components for demanding industries. Meeting production goals with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is an initiative-taker with extensive setup experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues while mentoring less experienced , developing, and mentoring less experienced machinists through the Arizona Tooling and Machining Association, Skill Up program. Essential Responsibilities-Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.-Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings to machine parts to print.-Perform first article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.-Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and quality issues to maximize efficiency.-Recommend process improvements that reduce costs and improve throughput.-Perform routine maintenance, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.-Work closely with team members, engineers, project managers, and quality teams to ensure smooth production flow.-Train, coach and mentor junior machinists and setup personnel.-Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.-Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications-High school diploma or GED is required. -Technical or vocational machine education is preferred.-4+ years of precision CNC machining and programming-Strong experience with CNC mills and CNC lathes.-Experience with Fanuc, Mori Seiki, Haas, and/or Okuma controls preferred.-Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.-Experience machining tight tolerance precision components.-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.-Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.-Diligence, problem-solving, manual dexterity, safety awareness, and teamwork with a servant leader mindset. Preferred Qualifications-Aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing experience.-Multi-axis machining experience (Mill/Turn, 4-Axis and 5-Axis preferred).-Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement experience.
