Position Overview
Are you an organized financial professional with a strong background in collections, credit risk, and customer resolution? Join a leading electrical distribution network in St. Louis as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. Offering steady daytime hours, competitive $22.00/hour pay, and a collaborative team atmosphere, this role is ideal for a proactive communicator skilled at optimizing cash flow and resolving account disputes.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
What You’ll Do
- Execute customer outreach and collection of workflows using GetPaid software and ERP systems to manage aging accounts, send notices, and record detailed communication logs.
- Resolve account disputes and reconciliations by investigating open line items, managing customer deductions, and escalating stalled issues to management as needed.
- Mitigate credit and financial risk by evaluating preliminary job documentation, tracking lien deadlines, and completing legal notices to reduce loss of exposure.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams during regular account review meetings to share customer insights, update file statuses, and align department goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with accounts receivable, corporate collections, ERP platforms, and collection management software (GetPaid software experience is strongly preferred).
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills with proven conflict resolution and dispute negotiation abilities.
- Strong computer literacy, analytical capabilities to review account aging reports, and experience with document management/filing protocols.
- A collaborative, reliable team player who builds strong working relationships across internal departments and external client teams.
Work Environment:You will work in a structured, professional corporate office setting. The position balances independent computer/system navigation with active telephone and email communication with sales leaders, operations teams, and customers.

Qualifications:
