Senior Construction Project Manager (Courthouses)
AECOM is seeking an accomplished Senior Construction Project Manager (Courthouses) to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex capital projects in Fresno, California. This role is ideal for a seasoned owner's representative with deep California experience who has successfully managed public works and federal projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate brings expertise in new ground-up and renovation projects, including courthouses, parking structures, and other public buildings and improvements, utilizing the progressive design-build delivery method from site acquisition through closeout, along with a strong understanding of the CEQA process, CalFire (OSFM) requirements, and other California regulatory requirements. With at least 15 years of project management experience, including 8 years within California and 8 years serving as an owner's representative, this professional will play a key role in delivering high-profile projects that positively impact the communities we serve.
Responsibilities include working closely with the Owner through the pre-construction phase, preparing RFQ documents, participating in confidential meetings and conceptual proposal reviews, assisting with the review and scoring of potential Progressive DB teams, managing site acquisition and CEQA process, monitoring onsite construction activities, coordinating with other project stakeholders and Owner's operations, conducting meetings with the Contractor, providing recommendations and documentation regarding contract disputes, schedule variances, change orders, and more.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant experience including progressive design-build deliveries
- 8+ years of experience in California
- Has experience in the CEQA process.
- Has experience working on California Public Works or federal projects.
- Has experience in renovation projects as well as ground-up new construction.
- 8 years as an owner's representative.
