Support will be focused around display and maintenance of floral inventory, as well as the engagement with customers both in-person and over the phone, in order to properly and efficiently communicate orders. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Assist customers with questions and the selection of the floral inventoryUtilize knowledge of floral inventory and availability to assist customers in the design and arrangement of unique floral arrangements, offering recommendations and substitution based on customer selectionsEnsure that all standard floral arrangements are prepared, executed and priced in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with approved company standardsMaintain health of floral inventory both on the floor and in the refrigerated storage through the watering, cutting and displaying of flowersSetup displays in accordance with company standardsAssist the floral managers and designers in the completion of custom online and over the phone orders as directedComplete other general maintenance tasks on the general floor as requiredCOMPETENCIESCommunication Customer FocusAttention to DetailWell Organized Initiative/Ability to LearnAbility to work IndependentlyPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE2+ years' experience working in a retail or boutique floral environment required. Experience in the horticultural, floral arrangement, gardening fields or completion of floriculture coursework is preferred. Demonstrated ability to offer excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette and a strong work ethic is required.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in an active retail store environment.
