Under the general direction of designated administrator or faculty member, manages a farm unit which serves the research activities of a department.
Salary Grade: 15

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience: Three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Substitution: An equivalent combination of related education and related experience may be considered for this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to manage and coordinate farm operations. Good organizational skills. Knowledge of equipment, materials, and farm supplies. Good communication skills. Ability to work under the direction of faculty members. Ability to supervise others.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., with one often to the point of being objectionable. Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor. Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Job occasionally requires sitting, climbing or balancing, and lifting more than 100 pounds. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
