Student Media Promotions Director
The Student Media Promotions Director is in charge of promoting the department to the on-campus community and utilizes social media to inform the community of news and events that are happening on campus. This student employment opportunity supports the development of skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies. Through this role, students will strengthen the following competencies:
- Technology: Students build technology skills by using department systems, software, digital tools, equipment, or university platforms to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Communication: Students build communication skills by practicing clear, respectful, and professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication in a workplace setting.
- Critical Thinking: Students build critical thinking skills by applying judgment, solving problems, prioritizing tasks, maintaining accuracy, and using feedback to improve their work.
- Teamwork: Students build teamwork skills by collaborating with supervisors, staff, and peers to support department goals, assist others, and contribute to a positive work environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Planning and hosting on-campus events
- Developing and implementing a promotional strategy to inform the community about Student Media
- Working with WXAV's Music Directors in securing prizes to giveaway
- Recruiting a department Street Team who will help promote the Student Media
- Working with the Student Media webmaster in overseeing the departments social media accounts
- Collaborating with the Student Media business manager promoting sponsors and developing off-campus events, such as live remote broadcasts or interviews
- Scheduling on-campus remote broadcasts
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
