Pay Range: $27–$32.25 per hour

About the Opportunity CornerStone Staffing is partnering with a client in Boston, MA to identify an experienced
HR Generalist for a 6-month assignment. This individual will provide administrative and operational support across the HR function, helping coordinate employee lifecycle activities, HR programs, reporting, communications, and day-to-day people processes.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on HR experience, strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
What You'll Do - Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team.
- Support employee lifecycle activities, including organizational changes, promotions, transfers, and offboarding, ensuring accurate documentation and timely coordination.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to support HR processes, initiatives, and routine business needs consistently and efficiently.
- Coordinate HR communications, meeting logistics, and follow-up activities for key people processes and team initiatives as needed.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and data management, including compiling HR metrics, generating standard reports, and validating data accuracy.
- Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, processes, and systems, escalating more complex matters to the appropriate HRBP or specialist team.
- Support HR programs and annual cycles, including performance management, talent reviews, employee engagement activities, and other people initiatives.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT, and other internal partners to support the delivery of HR services across the U.S.
- Help maintain alignment with company policies, HR procedures, and applicable employment practices by ensuring documentation and administrative processes are complete and properly managed.
- Identify opportunities to improve the coordination, standardization, and efficiency of HRBP support activities and assist with implementing process improvements.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across functions and geographies while providing responsive, service-oriented HR support.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications - 3–4 years of HR experience in an HR coordinator, HR generalist, HR operations, or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid understanding of core employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee changes, offboarding, and performance cycles.
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment practices and fundamental HR compliance concepts.
- Experience using Workday or a similar HR information system.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when working with HR data and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational levels and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships and provide service-oriented support to employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting HR Business Partners in a matrixed organization.
- Experience coordinating HR programs, annual talent or performance cycles, or employee engagement initiatives.
- Experience partnering across Payroll, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and IT functions.
- Experience supporting HR operations across multiple U.S. locations or geographically dispersed teams.
