Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is a professional position, using independent judgment to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the Human Resources department. Areas of responsibility include customer service and people services, benefits, leaves of absence, HRIS administration and recordkeeping, and training. This work requires an ability to collaborate in various contexts and demonstrate a high level of self-sufficiency. This person needs to be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and able to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Functional Area 1: Recruitment and Onboarding

• Assists Recruiting Coordinator, as necessary with pre-employment, as necessary.
• Assists with new hire communication and schedule onboarding meetings, as necessary.
• Assists with new hire processing, as necessary.
• As requested, may assist with recruiting related events.

Functional Area 2: Benefits Administration

• Customer service for new hires and current employees including:
• Employee support
• Education and Training
• Monthly bills to AP for payment to vendors
• File-sends to TPAs, as requested.
• Recurring reports and auditing, as requested.
• Adjustments and reimbursements, as requested

Functional Area 3: Leaves of Absence

• Employee support
• Initiating internal HR communication when a new leave is initiated.
• Changes in HRIS and other systems.
• Collaboration with third party Absence Management Services
• Long term disability and short term disability administrative setup.

Functional Area 4: Prevailing Wage and Payroll

• Customer service for employees and manager
• Weekly meal penalty auditing

Functional Area 5: HRIS and recordkeeping

• Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs
• Customer service related work such as password re-set, answering questions on system use or troubleshooting questions.
• Process employment related actions in HRIS (UKG) and related record keeping systems and files.
• Use system delivered reports and filters to provide information and resources to business partners, managers, or third-party vendors.
• Online HR help desk platform (Zoho Desk)

Work Environment:

At Rain for Rent, in-person work at our offices and/or branch locations is a top priority because it allows us to more effectively collaborate, connect, and builds a workplace culture that drives our continued success. This role requires onsite presence at a Rain for Rent office and/or branch location. Except for limited circumstances, remote and/or hybrid options are not offered at this time.

Estimated Salary Pay: $73,000-$80,000 annually
