I/O Psychologist

Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice is seeking an I/O Psychologist to support Federal Human Capital Consulting engagements for national security clients. This is an applied Industrial and Organizational Psychology consulting role focused on workforce analytics, strategic workforce planning, workforce research, curriculum development and training, strategic communication, and related workforce transformation initiatives. You will apply behavioral science, research methods, and quantitative analysis to help Federal clients understand workforce needs, improve organizational performance, build critical capabilities, and navigate mission-driven change. You will work with multidisciplinary Deloitte teams to translate complex workforce data into actionable insights, executive-ready deliverables, and practical recommendations.

Work You'll Do

As an I/O Psychologist, you will support client engagements in a fast-paced, highly visible environment. Responsibilities may include:

• Apply I/O Psychology principles and research methods to workforce studies, surveys, assessments, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
• Conduct research, data preparation, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
• Support end-to-end survey and workforce analytics activities, including requirements gathering, instrument development, data quality reviews, analysis, reporting, and executive briefings.
• Develop workforce planning analyses to help clients identify capability needs, skills gaps, workforce risks, and future talent requirements.
• Design, develop, and update curriculum and learning materials for adult learners, managers, and leaders.
• Develop client-ready presentations, reports, dashboards, and strategic communications that clearly convey complex analytical findings.
• Collaborate with client and Deloitte team members to solve problems, improve processes, and deliver high-quality work.
• Support project planning, status reporting, quality reviews, and the maintenance of project deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve work processes, reduce manual effort, and introduce innovative approaches to delivery.
• Participate in team problem-solving efforts and contribute ideas that address client needs.
• Build consulting, analytical, communication, and project delivery capabilities through coaching, training, mentoring, and hands-on client experience.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of experience applying I/O Psychology, psychology analytics, workforce analytics, survey research, organizational research, or related quantitative methods.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
• Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Experience with classical statistics, including hypothesis testing, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Experience with data modeling and quantitative analysis.
• Experience designing, evaluating, or applying selection processes, assessments, surveys, competency models, or related measurement tools.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear written and oral communications.
• Ability to develop high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, reports, and analytical products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to deliverable quality.
• Ability to travel 10-50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred

• Proficiency in one or more of the following: R, SAS, SPSS, or SQL.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience with survey methodology, workforce planning, people analytics, organizational assessment, curriculum development, learning experience design, strategic communications, or change management.
• Experience supporting Federal or national security clients.
• Experience translating quantitative findings into executive briefings and implementation recommendations.
• Experience supporting technology-enabled transformation or organizational change initiatives.
