Position Summary
Provides leadership & operational oversight for an inpatient direct care unit or units. Accountable for achievement of department and hospital goals in concert with other hospital and medical staff leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. At least 3 years of previous leadership experience in an acute care environment. Nurse Manager Certification highly preferred.

Additional Position Responsibilities
Provide operational and clinical leadership for the medical floor, including oversight of Med Surg overflow patients. Cross-cover medical surgical service lines as needed. Support quality, patient safety, staffing, throughput, and employee engagement initiatives. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred. 2 Years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting. Required and 1 Year leadership experience. Required Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. May require one or more of the following certifications based on the assigned patient population: * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) * Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) * Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) National leadership board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) within 2 years.
