Packaging Development Specialist

A well-established supply chain and procurement organization is seeking a Packaging Development Specialist to support packaging innovation, commercialization, and continuous improvement. Working closely with marketing, operations, quality, suppliers, and creative partners, you'll help bring new products and packaging initiatives from concept to launch while ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality and operational standards. Responsibilities

• Coordinate packaging development activities for new product launches, promotions, and operational initiatives.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, and implementation schedules.
• Coordinate packaging samples, testing, approvals, and production readiness.
• Partner with suppliers, marketing, quality, operations, and creative teams throughout the development process.
• Coordinate artwork development, proofing, approvals, and version control.
• Maintain packaging specifications, technical documentation, and project records.
• Support supplier communications and laboratory testing activities.
• Assist with packaging improvements focused on quality, functionality, cost optimization, and sustainability.
• Monitor industry trends, packaging innovations, and regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-3+ years of experience in packaging development, product development, manufacturing, graphic production, commercialization, or a related field.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coordinating artwork, packaging specifications, or print production is a plus.
• Working knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, or product development preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
