Human Resources Representative Benefits
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Human Resources Representative Benefits for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first-shift MondayFriday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Provide HR support and administration related to employee benefits, leaves of absence, and personnel operations.
- Perform transactional HR activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, employment regulations, and service standards.
- Enter, maintain, and audit employee information across HR systems and databases.
- Create, document, and manage employee cases within HR service management and document management tools.
- Review leave of absence records, return-to-work documentation, and eligibility information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and reconcile leave-related reports, payroll deductions, and benefit records.
- Support administration of FMLA, disability, paid caregiver leave, and other employee leave programs.
- Generate and distribute employee correspondence related to benefits, leave programs, and disability processes.
- Review benefit deduction reports and assist with resolving discrepancies and past-due balances.
- Support vendor communications and benefit-related inquiries.
- Maintain personnel records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance regarding HR processes, policies, and benefits programs.
- Utilize HR systems, databases, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications to support daily operations.
- Prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional HR administrative duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, HR Operations, Leave Administration, or a related HR function.
- Experience supporting employee benefits programs, leaves of absence, HR records, and personnel administration.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support employees professionally and effectively.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, benefits regulations, leave administration, and HR policies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee, medical, and HR information with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
- Experience working within HRIS platforms and employee record management systems.
- Experience with SAP and/or SuccessFactors strongly preferred.
- Experience utilizing service management, case management, or document management tools preferred.
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting FMLA, disability, workers' compensation, or leave administration programs.
- Experience reconciling payroll and benefits deductions.
- Knowledge of employee benefits vendors and leave management processes.
- Experience in a shared services or HR operations environment.
