Federal Contracts Specialist
Stantec's Federal Contracts Team (FCT) is in search of an individual with strong contract administration skills to perform a variety of tasks in support of our US Federal Program. As the Federal Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating, administering, and tracking contract awards and subsequent contract administration duties relating to complex, high-value multidisciplinary contracts for various US federal agencies.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and interpreting contracts, specifically Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses, to ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Monitoring and verifying contract progress.
- Working with project teams, Risk Management, and other internal and external groups to ensure Stantec business requirements are translated into contract documents.
- Maintaining contract administration file systems, databases, and controls.
- Maintaining project specific contract status reports and logs.
- Providing support to Federal Contracts Team (FCT).
- Processing contractual and financial data.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of contract administration, policies, procedures and workflows.
- Participating in team meetings and planning activities.
- Providing financial reporting and analysis.
- General administration duties as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- Knowledge of procurement and contracting principles, financial reporting, methods, procedures and practices including contract administration relating to changes, incurred costs and close-outs.
- Experience with Oracle preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of principles, practice, and compliance of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Federal Travel Regulations preferred.
- Knowledge of government websites such as System for Award Management (SAM), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), Electronic Subcontracting Reporting System (eSRS), Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act Subaward Reporting System (FSRS) and Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting Systems (CPARS) preferred but not required.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, monitor and conduct activities requiring independent decisions and sound judgment.
- Detail oriented, analytical skills, innovative problem-solving and decision-making ability to effectively handle changing priorities and deadlines including coordinating the efforts of others to accomplish objectives.
- Effective interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to working in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
- Preferred candidate will possess or be in process of obtaining Contract Manager Certification (such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM).
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience in the administration of multidisciplinary US Federal agency contracts.
- Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular strengths in Excel and Adobe.
Pay Range: Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, ME, NY, VA Areas-$65,600.00 - $95,100.00 Annually Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ, VA Areas-$72,200.00 - $104,600.00 Annually Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA, VA Areas-$77,400.00 - $112,200.00 Annually
