Licensing Program Analyst
The CDSS Community Care Licensing Division is currently accepting applications for a Licensing Program Analyst for the Santa Barbara Child Care Regional Office. Under the supervision of the Licensing Program Manager I (LPM I) in the Santa Barbara Child Care Regional Office, the Child Care Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) conducts on-site inspections, investigates complaints, and evaluates both licensed and unlicensed child care facilities to ensure they meet health and safety standards. LPAs review applications, verify qualifications, provide technical assistance, and collaborate with applicants and licensees to correct deficiencies and maintain compliance. They lead orientations, analyze policies and regulations, prepare detailed reports and recommendations, and support administrative actions such as license approvals, denials, and revocations. LPAs also participate in legal processes when necessary, contribute to program development, and engage in ongoing training while supporting special projects and outreach efforts. This regional office services the following additional areas: Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo Area and Ventura area. Spanish preferred but not required. This is a 12-month limited term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24-months and/or may become permanent based on operational needs.
