We are currently hiring a Cannabis Biomass Processor to support our extraction and production operations in Spokane Valley, Washington.
Position Overview The Cannabis Biomass Processor is responsible for receiving, inspecting, preparing, storing, and tracking cannabis biomass used in the extraction process.
This position requires strong attention to detail, accurate inventory management, effective communication, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on position that involves standing for extended periods, lifting materials, working in cold storage, and following established safety and compliance procedures.
Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming cannabis biomass and verify quantities against manifests and documentation.Weigh and document incoming biomass accurately.Inspect biomass for quality concerns, including mold, excess stems, fan leaves, water leaves, and other contaminants.Record biomass information accurately in inventory and tracking systems.Freeze, label, organize, and store biomass according to established procedures.Prepare cannabis biomass for extraction, including lot inspection, preparation, packing, and quality tracking.Maintain accurate inventory records using Bamboo and spreadsheets.Communicate with the extraction team regarding biomass availability and daily production priorities.Track, document, and report production waste in accordance with Washington State cannabis regulations and company procedures.Maintain clean and organized work areas.Assist with laboratory and production area setup and cleanup.Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.Assist with post-processing activities and other production tasks.Support research and development projects when needed.Follow company safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable cannabis regulations.Perform other duties related to cannabis processing and extraction as assigned.
Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older.High school diploma or GED required.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good time-management and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a production team.Basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in cold storage environments.Ability to work safely around chemicals while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to follow written procedures, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.Previous cannabis, manufacturing, laboratory, extraction, warehouse, or production experience is helpful but not required.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, extraction, or processing.Experience with inventory management or production tracking systems.Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or laboratory environment.Familiarity with cannabis biomass, extraction processes, or cannabis compliance requirements.

Work Environment This position is performed in a cannabis production and extraction facility.
Employees may work around cannabis plant material, chemicals, production equipment, and cold-storage areas.
Required safety procedures and personal protective equipment must be followed at all times.
