Obrero de Construcción – Construcción Civil Pesada Resumen del Puesto El Obrero de Construcción realiza una variedad de tareas físicas para apoyar las operaciones de construcción civil pesada, incluyendo trabajos de carreteras, puentes, drenaje, excavación, servicios públicos (utilidades) y concreto.
El obrero asiste al personal especializado y a los operadores de equipo, mientras mantiene un entorno de trabajo seguro y productivo.
Funciones y Responsabilidades Esenciales Realizar trabajo manual relacionado con proyectos de construcción civil pesada.
Ayudar con excavaciones, nivelación de terrenos, instalación de utilidades, colocación de concreto y construcción de carreteras.
Cargar, descargar y transportar materiales de construcción, herramientas y equipos.
Limpiar y preparar los sitios de trabajo antes, durante y después de las actividades de construcción.
Asistir a carpinteros, operadores de equipo y cuadrillas de concreto en las operaciones diarias.
Instalar medidas de control de erosión y dispositivos de control de tráfico según se indique.
Operar herramientas manuales, herramientas eléctricas y equipos pequeños de manera segura.
Seguir los planos del proyecto, las especificaciones y las instrucciones de los supervisores.
Mantener un entorno de trabajo seguro y cumplir con las políticas de seguridad de la empresa.
Realizar otras tareas asignadas.
Calificaciones Se prefiere experiencia previa en construcción, pero no es obligatoria.
Capacidad para realizar trabajo físicamente exigente en diversas condiciones climáticas.
Capacidad para levantar hasta 75 libras (34 kg).
Transporte confiable y asistencia puntual y constante.
Se prefiere conocimiento de prácticas de seguridad en la construcción.
Laborer – Heavy Civil Construction Position Summary The Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks supporting heavy civil construction operations, including roadway, bridge, drainage, excavation, utility, and concrete work.
The Laborer assists skilled trades personnel and equipment operators while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform manual labor associated with heavy civil construction projects.
Assist with excavation, grading, utility installation, concrete placement, and roadway construction.
Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Clean and prepare job sites before, during, and after construction activities.
Assist carpenters, operators, and concrete crews with daily operations.
Install erosion control measures and traffic control devices as directed.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely.
Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
Maintain a safe work environment and comply with company safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Reliable transportation and attendance.
