Description
Job Summary: The New Truck Sales Representative solicits commercial truck sales business from assigned accounts and/or through personal and phone contacts.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:

Essential Functions
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Maintain Client and prospect databases
- Follow department procedures in completing truck paperwork using available system tools
- Coordinate service work with the service department
- Ability to coordinate financing and insurance with the appropriate departments
- Be available for required meetings and other appointed times consistent and required to conduct and maintain sales department business
- Meet established performance criteria as determined by sales manager
- Required to call on customers daily
- Build and maintain professional relationships with other truck dealers, truck buyers, and truck wholesalers
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written/ verbal communication skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and learn independently
- Knowledge in truck specifications
- Familiarity with accounting and other computer software as needed for dealership operations
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of experience in the trucking/transportation industry
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Travel:
- Occasional Travel
- Commercial Valid Driver’s license and clear driving history preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear
- Occasionally required to walk
- Use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Reach with hands and arms
Work Environment:
- The position is in an office environment.
- Traveling within the assigned territory to visit current and prospective customers.
