Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Lakewood, WA Job Title Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract opportunity in an outpatient setting located in Lakewood, Washington. This role involves collaborating closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement comprehensive treatment plans, assisting patients in their rehabilitation journey, and promoting optimal recovery outcomes. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and equipment. This assignment offers a chance to contribute to a supportive healthcare team focused on improving patient mobility and quality of life. Parking information will be provided on the first day of the assignment. Key Responsibilities Assist Physical Therapists in providing therapeutic interventions and patient care. Implement prescribed treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities. Monitor patient progress, document observations, and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment. Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting. Ability to complete all required credentialing and compliance documentation. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Shift Details Shift Type: Day shifts Shift Duration: 8 hours per day Days per Week: 5 days per week Contract Length: 26 weeks Start Date: September 28, 2026 On-Call Requirements: None Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week, with 32 guaranteed hours during holiday weeks. Licensing Requirements Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Washington State, or eligibility for licensure via the Physical Therapy Compact.
