Job description

Lead Quality Control Inspector - Liners 3rd shift 9:

  • 30pm-6:00am Monday-Saturday Pay Range: $22.35-$27.86/hr + $1.25 Shift Differential LUXFER GAS CYLINDERS is the world’s largest manufacturer of high-pressure composite and aluminum cylinders.   • Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products.
  • Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production.
  • Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.

Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. Activities:

  • The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Oversee daily production activities and lot qualification testing as it relates to compliance with all quality requirements.
  • Coordinate/lead Non-Conforming Material (NMR) system.
  • Perform all receiving, in-process inspection, final inspection, first article conformance inspection, set up verifications and data acquisition verifications on a regular basis.
  • Generate nonconforming material reports, review and disposition non-conforming materials.
  • Participate as an active member of the material review board.
  • Generate rework procedures/instructions.
  • Assist in defining and implementing process controls that will enable process improvement through the reduction of process variability.
  • Primary role will be in the steel department with support of all metals related operations.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality function.
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications, specifically Excel.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Ability to read Pi-Tape, Calipers, Depth Gauge, and a weight scale.
