Position Overview
Vantage Trades Group LLC is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support construction operations in Clarksville, Arkansas. The Safety Professional will work directly in the field to promote safe work practices, identify and correct hazards, support project safety requirements, and maintain compliance with applicable OSHA standards and site-specific policies.
This position requires a safety professional who is comfortable working in an active construction environment and communicating effectively with craft employees, foremen, supervisors, subcontractors, and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily field safety inspections and observations.
- Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and potential hazards.
- Communicate safety concerns and corrective actions to employees and supervision.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
- Review PPE, tools, equipment, ladders, scaffolds, and fall-protection systems.
- Participate in pre-task planning, JHAs/JSAs, and toolbox talks.
- Assist with new-hire and site safety orientations.
- Monitor high-risk construction activities as assigned.
- Support incident and near-miss investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, inspection records, and reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and project supervision regarding safety expectations.
- Exercise appropriate stop-work authority when serious or imminent hazards are identified.
- Promote a professional and proactive safety culture throughout the project.
Minimum Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction hazards and OSHA requirements.
- Experience conducting field safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Understanding of fall protection, PPE, ladders, scaffolding, electrical hazards, and general construction safety.
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees and project leadership.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Must be able to provide copies of applicable safety certifications for verification.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment onboarding, drug screening, and background screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional credentials such as OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CHST, STSC, ASP, CSP, First Aid/CPR/AED, Fall Protection Competent Person, Excavation & Trenching, LOTO/Electrical Safety, Scaffold Competent Person, or Crane/Rigging Safety are highly valued.
Previous experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or data center construction projects is preferred.
