Job description

Pridestaff is currently seeking a Material Handler/Forklift for a manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.

  • Starting Pay Rate: $18-$19
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm (mandatory overtime with little to no notice is required)
Job summary:
Daily inventory replenishment and order picking, as well as assisting with the basic processing and cutting of industrial materials, including functional fabrics and metal fasteners. We are strictly looking for career-minded candidates for a long-term Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
  • Measure and cut industrial materials
  • Inspect incoming loads
  • Check shipping documents for correct customer information
  • Operating a sit-down forklift safely
  • Perform start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
  • Load semi-trucks and box trucks with required finished product
  • Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed
  • Material preparation and material handling
  • Staging and packaging finished product for delivery
  • Other general warehouse duties as needed
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to work overtime with short notice
Preferred Experience/Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6-month recent experience within the last year in in manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Past recent experience in shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory, cycle counting and forklift operation.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and use basic hand tools
  • Strong math skills
  • Must be able to lift up 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and pull throughout the shift.
  • Must have good attention to detail with ability to check shipping documents for accuracy
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check prior to start

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $19.00 Per Hour
