Job description

Overview

It may sound cliché, but it is true. A career taking care of cancer patients is a calling for most all of us. It’s much more than a job. Each of us has a unique story that brought us to Compass Oncology, but those stories usually share common themes of care, compassion, and commitment. No matter the role each Compass team member serves in, the goal is the same: to provide the best care possible for each and every one of our patients.

Compass Oncology, the Pacific Northwest's largest privately owned cancer care group, is dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered cancer treatment and support services. Our Vancouver Cancer Center is home to a highly skilled Radiation Oncology team committed to delivering the highest quality care through advanced technology, clinical excellence, and compassionate service.

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Chief Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology leadership team. In this key role, the Chief Medical Physicist will oversee the clinical physics program, ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy services, maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and partner closely with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Dosimetrists, and operational leaders to support outstanding patient outcomes. This position plays a vital role in advancing quality initiatives, implementing new technologies, and fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Beyond the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients, this position offers an excellent work-life balance with a Monday through Friday schedule, no routine weekend requirements, and no holiday rotation. If you are looking for a leadership opportunity within a collaborative and patient-focused environment, while maintaining balance outside of work, we encourage you to apply and join a team that makes a difference every day.
