Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist Job Description Job Title Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist for a 12-week contract assignment in Jackson, Mississippi. This role involves providing expert surgical assistance in a fast-paced operating room environment, focusing on complex cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and surgical efficiency by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile fields, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team during surgical interventions. Key Responsibilities Scrub for a variety of complex cardiovascular procedures, including Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG). Assist surgeons during valve repair surgeries, encompassing both robotic and open surgical approaches. Provide expert surgical assistance for peripheral vascular cases. Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team, passing instruments and supplies efficiently. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a cardiovascular setting. Demonstrated experience scrubbing for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) procedures. Proven experience scrubbing for valve repair surgeries (robotic and open). Experience scrubbing for peripheral vascular cases. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance. Extensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment specific to cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures. Familiarity with robotic surgical systems, particularly for valve repair cases. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs and react quickly in a dynamic environment. Shift Details Shift Type: AM Shift Duration: 10 hours (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM) Days per Week: 4 Contract Length: 12 weeks Start Date: October 12, 2026 End Date: January 10, 2027 Call Requirements: Once per week and one weekend per month.
