Position Summary
The Director of Risk is responsible for leading and coordinating the organization's comprehensive risk management program. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, mitigating, and preventing risks while collaborating with leadership, clinical providers, staff, and other key stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable corrective actions.
The Director of Risk oversees risk-related activities associated with potential and active litigation, including investigations, interviews, depositions, legal hold processes, record gathering, and other activities as directed by legal counsel.
This position also provides education and consultation to leaders, providers, and staff regarding risk management practices, incident reporting, informed consent, clinical documentation, disclosure practices, and professional liability exposure.
Additionally, the Director of Risk is responsible for overseeing liability and property claims management activities and serves as the organization's Compliance and Ethics Officer.
