Job description

Human Resources Leadership Development Program

At The Cigna Group, we believe Human Resources plays a critical role in shaping business strategy, enabling organizational success, and creating meaningful employee experiences.

We are committed to building relationships with future HR leaders who are passionate about helping organizations navigate change, develop talent, and drive business outcomes in an evolving workplace. Through our Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) and broader HR talent community, we seek individuals interested in gaining exposure to the many ways Human Resources contributes to the success of a global healthcare company.

Today's HR professionals must be strategic thinkers, trusted advisors, and agile problem-solvers who can adapt to shifting business priorities, workforce needs, and industry trends. Whether your interests lie in talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, employee experience, leadership development, or HR operations, you'll have the opportunity to learn how HR helps shape the future of work while supporting our mission to improve the health and vitality of those we serve.

What You'll Gain Exposure To

  • Strategic Human Resources initiatives that support business growth, workforce priorities, and organizational effectiveness
  • HR Centers of Expertise, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and HR Business Partnership
  • Opportunities to collaborate with business leaders and HR professionals across the enterprise to solve complex business challenges
  • Development experiences focused on leadership, business acumen, change agility, communication, and problem-solving
  • Insights into how HR evolves and adapts to meet changing workforce and industry needs
  • A purpose-driven culture committed to improving healthcare and creating a healthier future

What We're Looking For

We are interested in connecting with individuals who demonstrate:

  • A passion for Human Resources and its role in driving business success
  • Strong communication, influence, and relationship-building skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and a continuous learning mindset
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to collaborate effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Leadership potential and a desire to make a meaningful impact

Preferred Background

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience within Human Resources, business operations, consulting, or other related functions
  • Experience leading projects, influencing stakeholders, or working across teams
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in changing environments

At The Cigna Group, you'll find opportunities to grow your career while helping improve the health and well-being of millions of people around the world. We foster an inclusive, collaborative environment where diverse perspectives drive innovation, inspire excellence, and create better outcomes for the customers and communities we serve.
