Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Tucson, AZ Job Title Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment at Carondelet St Mary's, an acute care hospital located in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality images for physician interpretation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in a busy hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Accurately position patients for imaging studies, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort. Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment, troubleshooting minor issues as needed. Implement and adhere to radiation safety protocols for patients and staff. Review images for technical quality, proper identification, and completeness. Document all procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic health record. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
