We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Floral Clerk to join our team at Price Chopper. In this role, you'll support the floral department by creating attractive displays, maintaining fresh product, and helping guests find the perfect arrangements for everyday occasions and special events.At Price Chopper, we're more than a grocery store-we're a team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality products, strong teamwork, and consistent execution. As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we offer the stability of a locally owned company with deep community roots.This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with flowers, has an eye for presentation, and takes pride in creating a visually appealing, guest-ready department.Key Responsibilities & Job DutiesProvide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visitsReceive, condition, and arrange floral products to create attractive displays and maintain freshnessCreate, maintain, and refresh floral displays, bouquets, and seasonal arrangementsMonitor water levels and cooler conditions to ensure high-quality floral offeringsStock, rotate, and face products using FIFO methods to maintain freshness and minimize wasteAssist guests with floral selections, custom arrangements, special orders, and care tipsMaintain accurate pricing, signage, and product labelingMonitor inventory levels and communicate low, excess, or damaged items to department leadership to support product availabilityMaintain a clean, organized, and safe floral area, including prep and display spacesFollow all safety, sanitation, and product handling standardsDevelop and maintain knowledge of floral products, seasonal offerings, and care instructions to better assist guests and drive salesCommunicate clearly and respectfully with teammates, leadership, and vendors to support efficient operationsCollaborate across departments to support overall store presentation and guest satisfactionAssist with receiving deliveries and organizing backstockRemain productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, or refreshing displaysOther job duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsRequired: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceRequired: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPreferred: Experience in retail, grocery, or customer service environmentsPreferred: Experience working with flowers, plants, or basic floral designPreferred: Knowledge of plant care and maintenancePreferred: Ability to create basic floral arrangements or gift displays
