Leadership Role in Cisco's Global Certifications Team

Cisco's Global Certifications team ensures our products meet critical security standards to support customer commitments and global market access. We are a dedicated group of 14 certification engineers and technical program professionals specializing in Common Criteria, EUCC, and European cybersecurity schemes. By partnering with product engineering, legal, and government authorities, we navigate sophisticated regulatory landscapes to drive Cisco's revenue. You will join an inclusive, high-trust culture where technical experts are empowered to challenge ideas and deliver their best work. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team that directly impacts Cisco's ability to sell secure technology worldwide.

Your Impact

Lead and develop a high-performing organization of 14 direct reports by establishing clear expectations for accountability, performance, and career growth. Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Cisco's Common Criteria and EUCC portfolio to ensure timely product evaluations and certifications. Prioritize portfolio sequencing and prioritization based on business impact, technical feasibility, and regulatory timelines. Partner with internal senior leaders and external laboratories to forecast staffing needs and manage budget planning effectively. Drive operational excellence by identifying systemic blockers and improving processes to scale the organization's delivery capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in people management or organizational leadership within a technical environment.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 10 direct reports, including performance management and resource allocation.
  • Consistent track record of leading complex technical programs or portfolios from intake through delivery.
  • Experience working with external vendors, laboratories, or regulatory bodies to meet compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Common Criteria (CC), EUCC, or European national cybersecurity certification schemes.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical risks and tradeoffs to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience building inclusive team cultures and managing conflict within technical organizations.
  • Ability to translate changing regulatory requirements into actionable product and staffing plans.
  • Background in cybersecurity engineering or security certification program management.
