Hardware (PEM) Installer — 2nd Shift

Location: Brockton, MA
Pay: $19–$26 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a Hardware (PEM) Installer to join our 2nd shift team. The ideal candidate has mechanical assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a manufacturing environment. This position involves setting up and operating hardware insertion equipment, including Haeger and PEM machines, as well as assembling mechanical components to customer specifications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Assemble mechanical components accurately according to specifications.
  • Set up and operate hardware insertion machines, including Haeger and PEM equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment.
  • Perform quality checks on completed assemblies.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
  • Document assembly processes and maintain accurate production records.
  • Work with team members and other departments to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of assembly equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a mechanical assembler or in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
  • Sheet metal job shop experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials up to 40 lbs.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly.
  • 5 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience assembling cabinets, chassis, or similar sheet metal products.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and normal shop noise.
  • Varying temperatures may occur.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
