We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented HBC Clerk (Health & Beauty Care) to join our team at Price Chopper. In this role, you'll help keep the HBC department well-stocked, organized, and easy to shop while providing helpful service and maintaining strong product presentation and department standards.At Price Chopper, we're more than a grocery store-we're a team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality products, strong teamwork, and consistent execution. As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we offer the stability of a locally owned company with deep community roots.This is a great fit for someone who enjoys staying organized, working with a variety of products, and helping guests find the items they need in a fast-paced retail environment.Key Responsibilities & Job DutiesProvide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to support a positive shopping experienceStock, rotate, and face HBC products to maintain full, organized, and visually appealing displaysMaintain accurate product placement, pricing, signage, and shelf labelsAssist guests with product selection and help locate health, beauty, personal care, and household itemsDevelop and maintain knowledge of HBC products, promotions, and product locations to better assist guests and support salesMonitor inventory levels and communicate low, excess, or damaged items to department leadership to support product availabilityReceive, organize, and place merchandise in the appropriate locationsMaintain clean, organized, and safe sales floor and backroom areasFollow product handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standardsAssist with promotional displays, seasonal merchandise, and special product setsCommunicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leadership to support efficient department operationsCollaborate across departments to support overall store performance and guest satisfactionAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including conduct and dress code standardsRemain productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, organizing, or supporting other departmentsOther job duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsRequired: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceRequired: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPreferred: Previous experience in grocery, retail, or customer servicePreferred: Experience with stocking, merchandising, or inventory-related tasksPreferred: Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skillsIf you enjoy helping guests, keeping things organized, and taking pride in a well-maintained department, this is a great opportunity to become an important part of the team.
