Duties: Deliver high-quality care and early education aligned with the YMCA's values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caringPlan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities-arts & crafts, music, storytelling, outdoor play, and moreSupport positive behavior and foster social-emotional growthSupervise daily routines like meals, free play, and playground timeBuild strong, positive relationships with families and conduct regular parent-teacher conferencesMaintain accurate classroom and program recordsParticipate in staff meetings, training, and family engagement eventsRequirements: Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCDA credential or a related college degreeCompletion of DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2)6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experienceAble to lift up to 40lbs and actively engage with children both indoors and outdoorsPerks & Pay: Full-time, $16.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
