  • Prepare and review electrical calculations, one-line diagrams, studies, drawings, specifications, technical reports, cost inputs, schedules, and scopes of work.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary Integrated Design Reviews and independent technical reviews throughout the design process.
  • Support constructability reviews, value engineering, construction administration, testing, commissioning, system turnover, and operational readiness.
  • Provide quality-control reviews, mentor engineering staff, and support proposals, interviews, and client presentations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience assessing, designing, or modernizing complex building electrical and emergency-power systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, life-safety, energy, grounding, lighting, and mission-critical power standards, including generators, UPS, and lightning protection.
  • Proficiency with power-analysis, lighting, BIM/CADD, energy, and document-review platforms.
  • Strong leadership, communication, technical writing, and professional judgment skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government personnel security clearance when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with diplomatic, federal, defense, institutional, data, communications, mission-critical, or high-security facilities.
  • International experience with challenging utility conditions, voltage/frequency differences, unreliable service, and local equipment availability.
  • LEED AP, RCDD, CEM, commissioning credential, or another relevant certification.
  • Experience coordinating U.S. Government standards with host-country laws, codes, authorities, and construction practices.
