Winder Operator AM/PM

The Winder Operator is responsible for handling finished plastic strapping products, ensuring quality standards are met, and safely packaging materials for shipment.Key Responsibilities

• Operate winding equipment to produce coils according to work orders.
• Remove completed coils and restart the winding process.
• Assist with machine setup and stock packaging materials.
• Perform quality checks using measuring tools and verify product specifications.
• Count, band, label, package, and prepare coils for shipping or storage.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate records.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 months of manufacturing or production experience.
• Ability to read work instructions and perform basic math calculations.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 60 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery, varying temperatures, and noise (hearing and eye protection required).
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.

Schedule

• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
