Business / Financial / Operations Analyst
This long-term analyst role combines business, financial, and operations analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing business performance. You will focus heavily on budget analysis while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate reporting, drive process improvements, and support special projects. The position is ideal for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable collaborating with senior leadership and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial plans.
- Conduct budget analysis, which represents approximately 60% of the role, to monitor variances and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Support financial reviews by preparing and analyzing financial data, trends, and performance metrics.
- Analyze business performance and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and inform decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Create and maintain reports using reporting tools and Excel databases to support business operations and financial analysis.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to address specific business questions and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders and other departments to understand requirements and deliver relevant analytical support.
- Support business operations through reporting, data analysis, and operational reviews.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to special projects by providing analytical support, reporting, and operational insights.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to internal stakeholders by responding to inquiries, clarifying data, and providing clear explanations of findings.
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations clearly and professionally to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $27.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
