The Warehouse & Inventory Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and ensuring accurate, organized, and efficient inventory management. This is a hands-on, working manager role for someone who is comfortable working on the warehouse floor while also taking ownership of processes, systems, and operational improvements. The Warehouse & Inventory Manager will oversee receiving, shipping, inventory control, material organization, warehouse safety, and documentation. This position will work closely with Operations, Procurement, Project Management, Service, and other departments to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed and inventory is accurately tracked. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Job responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the warehouse, overseeing all shipping and receiving activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, performing regular cycle counts and physical inventory counts, monitoring inventory levels, maintaining an organized warehouse layout, coordinating with Procurement, Operations, Project Management, and Service teams, preparing and staging materials and equipment for installation, service, and other operational needs, maintaining accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation, coordinating with freight carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers as needed, managing the use and organization of warehouse equipment, ensuring warehouse activities are performed in accordance with company safety procedures and applicable requirements, developing and improving warehouse and inventory processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and accountability, tracking and reporting inventory levels, discrepancies, receiving activity, and other warehouse-related information to management, identifying opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory controls, workflows, and use of space, working with cross-functional teams to resolve shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-related issues, providing direction and support to warehouse personnel as the team and warehouse operations grow, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include 3+ years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, logistics, or a related field, hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse operations, experience using inventory management systems, ERP systems, WMS platforms, or similar software, experience performing cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and inventory reconciliations, experience working with freight carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers preferred, forklift experience or certification preferred, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory and operational issues, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with multiple departments, strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with general AI tools preferred.
Requirements include being able to work on-site in Costa Mesa, CA Monday through Friday, being comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment, being able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, having strong organizational and time-management skills, being dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain accurate records, having a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse, and ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse materials and equipment.
Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods throughout the warehouse and work areas, sitting, talking, hearing, typing, and writing, reaching with hands and arms, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and using fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment as required, safely operating or working around forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment, using standard office and warehouse equipment such as computers, smartphones, printers, scanners, and inventory systems, working in a warehouse environment and being exposed to varying temperatures and typical warehouse conditions.
