Meyling Marin Farmers Insurance Agency in Riverside, California, is looking for a motivated and personable Bilingual Customer Service & Sales Representative to join our team full-time.

This is not a customer service-only position. Approximately 30% of the daily workload will involve identifying cross-selling and bundling opportunities with existing clients. You'll be expected to recognize client needs, recommend appropriate insurance products, and confidently have sales conversations when there is an opportunity to help the client.

This is also an excellent career-change opportunity. You don't need prior insurance experience to be successful in this role. If you've worked in customer service, retail, banking, hospitality, telecommunications, automotive, or sales, you already have valuable skills that can transfer to insurance. We'll teach you the insurance side of the business and provide the training and support you need to succeed.

You'll have the opportunity to develop your insurance knowledge, strengthen your sales skills, work toward obtaining your Property & Casualty license, and continue growing within our agency.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify cross-sell and bundling opportunities with existing monoline clients (approximately 30% of daily workload)
• Communicate with clients in English and Spanish to provide exceptional customer service and discuss insurance products and coverage options
• Initiate and confidently handle sales conversations with existing clients
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage
• Offer bundled policies to clients for additional discounts and coverage
• Process customer policy change requests
• Take premium payments from customers
• Secure all trailing documents from customers
• Complete Evidence of Insurance requests
• Provide ongoing support to insurance clients as needed
• Follow up with clients to ensure their needs are addressed and opportunities are properly handled
• Participate in ongoing training and coaching to develop insurance and sales skills

Requirement

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required
• Prior sales experience in any industry retail, telecommunications, real estate, automotive, banking, hospitality, etc. strongly preferred
• Insurance sales experience is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable initiating sales conversations and asking for the business
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or coverage
• Ability to build relationships with clients from a cold start
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish
• Excellent spelling and grammar
• Strong multi-tasking, follow-through, and follow-up skills
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Coachable and willing to learn
• Motivated by goals, personal achievement, and professional growth
• Property and Casualty license preferred; candidates without a license will receive support to obtain one
• Must be available to work full-time, in-office in Riverside, California
