Electrical Engineer

Position Description:

What You'll Do

Project Leadership Lead electrical engineering designs for industrial renovation projects while collaborating with technical resource groups and project management on front-end documentation, estimates, and schedules.

Client Interface Regularly interface with client counterparts to align technical design with requirements and criteria while developing business relationships for future opportunities.

Advanced Design Execute complex electrical calculations, complete comprehensive documentation, and perform quality control reviews while mentoring junior staff.

What You Bring

Must-Have Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 3-15 years in industrial electrical power, distribution, area classification, schematics, grounding, lighting, and heat tracing systems
• Technical Skills: Project scoping, estimating, and detailed electrical design expertise
• Software: Electrical modeling software (SKM, ETAP), lighting/heat trace design
• Certifications: PE preferred, ability to obtain TWIC card

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
• Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls.
• Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
• Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing.
• Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration.
• Ability to concentrate and maintain attention for extended periods while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
• Able to travel to job sites (local and/or remote) as project needs require.
• Able to work in heavy industrial environments while wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, fire-retardant clothing, gloves, etc.).
• Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces.
• Able to walk on uneven terrain and surfaces.
• May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments during site visits.
