Job Title: Bindery Operator

Location: Raleigh, NC
Shift: 3rd shift, 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 8 hour days (training is on 1st shift). Hours could shift to 12 hour days depending on business needs.

Client Overview
You'd be working at a packaging and print finishing facility that supports personalization, mailing, and fulfillment work, often for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. You'd run bindery equipment that cuts, folds, and finishes printed materials before they ship out.

What You'll Do
- Read work orders to determine setup specifications and instructions
- Follow startup, cleaning, and shutdown procedures for the department
- Operate bindery department machinery to keep up with the workload schedule
- Load, set up, adjust, and operate cutter machines
- Cut and feed card stock through machines for single or double line runs
- Load and operate the folder machine
- Set up and run the shrink wrap machine
- Feed the inserter machine with envelopes and inserts per ticket instructions
- Report daily production and material consumption
- Communicate issues with orders or equipment clearly to the team
What We Need From You
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years of related bindery experience
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test
- Basic computer skills for data entry, and intermediate math skills
- Able to pass a color vision test and work overtime as needed, including significant overtime during busy periods
Preferred / Bonus
- Experience operating Polar or Seybold cutters, or MBO folder machines
- Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or SOP driven production environment
