Job Opportunity: Building Maintenance / Grounds Keeper

A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a Building Maintenance / Grounds Keeper to their team.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up metal debris and regularly sweep the parking lot.
• Inspect and sweep warehouse areas for screws, nails, and other debris.
• Keep roadways and paths clear and safe for customer vehicles entering, moving through, and exiting the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts.
• Coordinate traffic in the metals area.
• Clean up metal spills and other general spills.
• Help build and break down Gaylord boxes.
• Wrap pallets and assist with material stacking.
• Stack batteries and barrels.
• Maintain a clean staging area for wood pallets.
• Keep the warehouse perimeter, docks, and outdoor areas clean.
• Perform general housekeeping and landscaping tasks using hand and power tools.
• Complete daily inspections of the property to ensure areas are safe, clean, and organized.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Landscaping, groundskeeping, or yard work experience required.
• Comfortable working primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical, repetitive work in an outdoor and warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and remain composed in a stressful work environment.
• Must be willing to assist with a variety of tasks throughout the warehouse.
• Must follow all safety requirements and properly use required PPE.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Pay: $18.50 per hour

Duration: This is a temp-to-hire position.
