Data Entry Clerk

Job Description

This is a remote position.

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, organizing, and maintaining company information and records in databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems. This position ensures that data is complete, accurate, and up to date while maintaining confidentiality and following company procedures. The Data Entry Clerk works closely with other departments to process information efficiently and support daily administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update information accurately into databases, spreadsheets, and company systems.
  
• Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  
• Verify information by comparing it with source documents and records.
  
• Correct errors and update inaccurate or outdated information.
  
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical records.
  
• Process invoices, orders, forms, applications, and other documents as assigned.
  
• Perform data entry from emails, documents, forms, reports, and other sources.
  
• Maintain organized files and ensure records are easily accessible.
  
• Assist with scanning, uploading, copying, and document management.
  
• Perform routine data quality checks and identify missing or incorrect information.
  
• Respond to requests for information and retrieve records when needed.
  
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
  
• Follow data entry procedures, company policies, and security requirements.
  
• Assist other departments with administrative and clerical tasks.
  
• Prepare basic reports and spreadsheets as requested.
  
• Meet established deadlines and productivity and accuracy standards.
  
• Communicate data discrepancies or system issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Previous data entry, clerical, administrative, or office experience preferred.
  
• Strong typing and computer skills.
  
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and email.
  
• Experience with databases or data management systems is preferred.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements
