Job Summary:
The Database Administrator role within the Arizona Department of Education's Information Technology Division is responsible for managing and maintaining the department's databases, focusing on SQL Server environments. This position involves database design, backup and recovery, performance tuning, disaster recovery, PowerShell scripting for automation, and Power BI configuration. The role supports data-driven solutions through collaboration with application and BI teams and requires occasional in-state travel. It is a contract-to-hire position requiring eligibility for full-time employment and availability for in-person work primarily in Phoenix, Arizona.
