We are seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant to become a vital part of our dedicated team in Old Towne Fair Oaks. We offer a competitive benefits package, including:

Qualifications:
Previous experience in the veterinary field preferred or currently enrolled in the fourth term of a Veterinary Technician program.
Must be reliable, possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, strategic thinking abilities, and extreme attention to detail.
Capacity to multi-task while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
Key Skills:
General knowledge of flea and heartworm preventatives, medications, vaccines, etc.
Confident in venipuncture
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Confident animal handling skills.
Strong team player with good customer service skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to different clients, staff, and management styles.
Professional appearance is a must.
Responsibilities Include:
Answering phones and scheduling appointments.
Maintaining accurate medical records.
Communicating with clients regarding patient care.
Assisting doctors with medical care, diagnostics, filling prescriptions, performing x-rays and assisting with anesthesia and surgery.
Cleaning cages and kennels, ensuring general care of hospitalized patients.
Accurately filling multiple prescriptions daily, which includes contacting outside pharmacies when necessary.
