Summary: Nurse Practitioner providing health care services to the clients of the Orthopedic Clinic. The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive orthopedic evaluation and treatment while independently performing both clinical and administrative patient care functions under direction of supervising physician. Qualifications: Education: Current State of Ohio Nurse Practitioner License Experience: At least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in the Orthopedic setting. Other: Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per day).
Grace Hospital is opening an outpatient Orthopedic Clinic Department in Tremont. The positions will start at a PRN or Per Diem status that may move into Part-time or Full-time status as we grow! 1. Perform comprehensive musculoskeletal examinations including complete patient histories and mechanism of injury and assessment of acute orthopedic injuries and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. 2. Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing. 3. Perform orthopedic procedures (fracture evaluation and management, joint aspirations and injections, wound care, etc). 4. Perform patient preparation and room turnover. 5. Perform patient intake including vital signs, height and weight, pain scores, medication reconciliation, allergies and medical history, and chief complaints. 6. Prescribe medications according to state law and organizational policy. 7. Education patients on medication use, diagnosis, treatment plan, return precautions and follow-up care. 8. Complete timely and accurate documentation according to policy. 9. Complete care coordination with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapy, and other referring providers. 10. Take call as assigned. 11. Follow OSHA and CDC infection prevention standards. 12. Responsible for inventory management and restocking of clinical supplies. 13. Complete administrative duties as needed.
