Job Title:Quality Specialist Hourly:$24 - $33 Location:Fremont, CA (On-site) Type:Full-time/Exempt Job Summary: The Quality Specialist executes the end-to-end Patrol Audit system and accountability programs across manufacturing facilities. This role ensures that active shopfloor processes, workstation setups, and operator adherence strictly align with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). The QA Auditor coordinates closely with Production Operations, Training, and Corporate QA teams to monitor real-time compliance, identify process drift, and enforce accountability standards. Duties/Responsibilities Patrol Auditing and Process VerificationPatrol Auditing: Conduct scheduled and unannounced patrol audits across assigned production lines and areas to verify process adherence, station setups, and environmental compliance.Accountability Verification: Audit operator adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training requirements, documenting deviations to drive immediate correction and accountability.Workstation & ESD Checks: Perform routine verification of electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety compliance, tool calibrations, and local workstation documentation logs.Documentation: Record real-time audit results, including photos of non-conformances and detailed localized process failure descriptions, ensuring comprehensive data entry into the corporate QA database.Coordination and EscalationCross-functional Coordination: Communicate active patrol audit findings and systemic process violations immediately to Production Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, and Corporate QA teams.System Tracking: Open, update, and track non-conformance logs and local corrective action requests in the QMS tracking database.Material Verification: Review rejected materials or parts against reject tags/travel cards to ensure accurate failure descriptions and proper physical routing to designated containment zones.Follow-up Verification: Conduct re-audits of corrected areas to verify that initial deviations have been robustly resolved and standard conditions are sustained.Quality, Compliance, and SupportRoot Cause Analysis Support: Provide accurate process performance metrics, drift data, and floor behavior observations to support engineering teams in high-level CAPA investigations.ISO 9001 Audit Support: Assist the Corporate QA team during internal QMS audits and formal third-party registrar inspection preparations.Training Support: Monitor training effectiveness on the floor, evaluating if recent standard updates or accountability programs are effectively applied in daily operations. Competencies Familiarity with manufacturing processes, electronic/server assembly, and basic quality engineering principles.Strong understanding of standard auditing practices, checklist execution, and process verification.Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and document control adherence.Strong attention to detail with the ability to clearly and objectively document floor conditions and deviations.Effective verbal and written communication skills for interfacing directly with operators, supervisors, and engineering teams.Familiarity with data entry using Microsoft Excel and localized quality tracking databases. Education and Experience Associate degree required, Bachelor degree preferred.13 years of experience in quality auditing, patrol auditing, process verification, quality inspection, or working directly within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements: Work is performed primarily on the active manufacturing and production floor environment.Ability to lift, carry, and move localized electronic assemblies or inspection tools weighing up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.Ability to stand, walk, and perform mobile floor auditing activities for extended periods as required by patrol schedules.
